DSTRX — SMS / Texting Privacy Policy (Verbal Consent)

1. How We Get Permission to Text You

We only text you after you give verbal consent — meaning you clearly tell us (in person or over the phone) that we’re allowed to text you.
When you say “yes,” we log:

  • Your name (if provided)

  • Your phone number

  • Date and time of your verbal consent

  • Who on our team received that consent

This record is stored so we can prove we had permission if it’s ever needed.

2. What We Text You

With your consent, we may send:

  • Transactional updates (appointments, reminders, confirmations)

  • Property-related info you requested

  • Occasional promotional or marketing texts from DSTRX
    Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.

3. How to Stop Texts

You can opt out anytime by replying:

  • STOP — unsubscribes you from all texts

  • HELP — gives support info

You can also ask any DSTRX team member verbally, and we’ll take you off our text list right away.

4. What Information We Collect

For texting, we only collect:

  • Your phone number

  • Message history

  • Consent record (verbal)

  • Delivery information from your carrier

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with outside marketers.

5. Who Sees Your Information

Your information may be shared only with:

  • Our SMS service providers (for sending and receiving messages)

  • Our internal team

  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law

That’s it.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep your phone number, consent record, and message history as long as needed for:

  • Business operations

  • Compliance with U.S. SMS laws

  • Protecting against spam/complaint issues

If you request deletion, we will remove your number unless we’re legally required to keep consent logs for a period of time.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfect, but we take the protection of your data seriously.

8. Minors

We don’t knowingly text anyone under 18. If we find out a minor’s number was provided, we delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top.
